MIDDLETON, Wis.  — Show some love for your family and friends – and community – through a new Middleton promotion that doubles as a great gift.

“Local Love” is a curation of special offers from Middleton businesses put together into a pocket-size giftable book to encourage the community to support local businesses now and into 2021.

Local Love sells at $20 and contains 23 offers to downtown Middleton businesses worth hundreds of dollars.  The offers are all good through September 2021 but no need to wait — pick up Local Love and enjoy the savings now.

Local Love can be ordered online at www.downtownmiddleton.com/local-love, or purchased at participating businesses – also listed on the website.

Unable to hold popular Middleton events like the wine walks or Jazz Night Out, downtown businesses came together to create Local Love, a unique way to support buying local during this critical time. Each offer is unique to the Middleton business, inviting you to shop, taste and explore your way throughout the downtown area.

“Buying local is essential, especially now and especially during the holidays,” said Andrea Van Nest, Downtown Middleton Business Association (DMBA) board president and co-owner of Longtable Beer Cafe.

Downtown Middleton is home to more than 30 restaurants, shops and cafes – most of which are locally owned and/or managed.

“It’s an uncertain time for a lot of our small, local businesses,” Van Nest said. “The Local Love initiative is a great way for our community to show its love and support so that these businesses can survive into 2021. Downtown Middleton takes great pride in offering streets lined with unique businesses. If you walk store-to-store, you’ll meet the owners, themselves, working on the floor.

“Their love of the community shows. And they want it to thrive.”
